Piccadilly Circus Pizza Earns Award for Forward-Thinking Packaging
Piccadilly Circus Pizza has been recognized as a winner in the 2008 QSR/FPI Foodservice Packaging Awards competition in the Product Manufacturing Innovation category.
The Piccadilly Circus Pizza 6.5” Personal Pizza Box Packaging was chosen as one of the leading designs to best meet the criteria of an idea or process that made a positive change or difference for the customer, while following the Green Initiative. The award-winning design replaced a grease barrier board that was impregnated with chemicals with a common, recycled board, along with recyclable waxed paper.
“Our packaging company, Olympak Printing & Packaging in Minneapolis, MN, uses 'safe' materials in the construction and processes in their plant. Olympak truly lives by their GMP and AIB requirements.” said Dana Evaro, Director Of Marketing for Piccadilly Circus Pizza. "We are looking for more ways to provide packaging that meets today’s requirements of recyclability and consciousness of the environment and sustainability."
Customers can look for additional packaging updates from Piccadilly Circus Pizza in the future, as they continue to lead the industry in environmentally-responsible, innovative, and portable packaging designs and structures.
